The importance of thinking has never been greater in an ever increasing complex and interdependent world, but it’s often replaced by Google and quick answers.

Let’s challenge our thinking about how we think and could think better.

Learn how to apply deliberate thinking to our decisions and the challenges we experience in projects.

In this session we will discuss the common thinking traps for leaders and Project Managers and how we can utilise thinking tools and techniques to support and improve our decision making.

This presentation will focus on and discuss:

• Key business traps that affect meaningful thinking and decision making

• The concept of deliberate thinking

• Key thinking tools and techniques

• How to incorporate deliberate thinking in your daily work life

Speaker Biography:


John Edwards

John is an experienced leader and IT professional with a background spanning project management, service delivery management, consulting and leadership positions.

John has worked for many significant South Australian and international organisations and has managed large geographically diverse teams. His industry experience covers defence, government, manufacturing, wine, agriculture, engineering, telecommunications and financial services.

Currently John is working in the defence industry on large, complex multi-million dollar projects.

John holds an MBA from Adelaide University, Bachelor of Computer and Information Science from the University of South Australia, MSP, AGILE and PRINCE2 Project Management Practitioners Certification and ITIL Certification.
