The Energy Connect Project
Project EnergyConnect is the high voltage electricity transmission interconnector to be constructed between Robertstown in SA and Wagga Wagga in New South Wales (NSW), with an added connection from Buronga in NSW to Red Cliffs in north-west Victoria
An electricity interconnector is a connection that allows power to flow between regions in the National Energy Market (NEM), providing access to a larger number of electricity generators. Project EnergyConnect is being delivered jointly by ElectraNet and TransGrid (the NSW electricity transmission operator).
The Project will be one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure Projects and the first new interconnector between Australian States in over 15 years.
