Richard Cawley

Richard has over 25 years’ experience in project and program management, managing projects as both client and contractor, across a number of sectors in Australia and the UK.

Richard started his career in the construction sector, working his up to manage multi-million $ civil engineering projects. Richard has managed business and environmental involvement projects for blue chip clients, including British Airways, Honda and British Telecom. Richard also has experience in project finance including managing Public Private Partnerships projects to delivery recycling facilities for local government, and as project manager was responsible for securing finance for $300m renewable energy power station development.

Since arriving in Australia Richard spent 15 years work for SA Water and in that time was response for its capital project governance processes, establishing SA Water’s Corporate Project Management Office, including developing SA Water’s Corporate Project Management Methodology and its Corporate Planning Processes.

Richard also ran the change management project to get SA Water ready for the introduction of Economic Regulation, then taking on responsibility for developing and negotiating with the economic regulator, ESCOSA, to set SA Water $5 Billion revenue allowance and expenditure program.

Since leaving SA Water in early 2021 Richard has established the Pronomics Consulting practice, proving project management and planning services to clients across a number of sectors.
