Eli StylesEli Styles is a seasoned professional with a robust background in commercial construction and defence project management. Over almost two decades, Eli has held several pivotal positions in projects including, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Design Programme Manager, PMO Programme Manager, and currently, Project Management Capability Manager for Australasia. Originally from New Zealand, Eli has recently relocated to Adelaide, South Australia, where he enjoys living a short walk from the ocean. Outside of work, Eli is an avid outdoorsman, engaging in activities such as surfing, cycling, mountain biking, and running.

Eli's career began as an electrician, which eventually led him to project management through various construction projects. For a decade, Eli dedicated himself to the commercial construction industry, constructing buildings and collaborating with clients to deliver outcomes with a pragmatic approach to project management before moving into defence. This extensive hands-on experience provided a solid foundation for his transition into more strategic roles.

Eli's passion for project management stems from his enjoyment of organizing and planning processes, combined with a strong focus on people. In his current role, he has had the opportunity to apply a humanistic approach to project management across the company's processes and global framework. Engaging with key stakeholders through processes such as project reviews has allowed Eli to maintain a practical approach to achieving desired outcomes, embedding this into Babcock's culture.

Reflecting on the advancements in project management over his career, Eli is excited about the future and looks forward to the opportunities and challenges that the rest of his career will bring and the impact he can have to the industry.
