Evan or Shane will join us remotely for 10 minutes to provide their insights, #noprojects is a movement and a philosophy.

A short presentation will follow with facilitated group discussion on the book and the insights generated.

Just like any book club, ideally you will read the book in whole or part prior, either way, come along and join what should be an interesting evening with peers and colleagues discussing project delivery in our VUCA world.

“Today success comes from building products people love, creating loyal customers and serving the broader stakeholder community. In this thoughtful exploration on the future of work, the authors explore the past, present and future of the “project”. And why, in today’s fast-changing & hyper-competitive world, running a temporary endeavour is the wrong approach to building sustainable products and how #noprojects is fundamentally changing the way companies work.

Evan Leybourn and Shane Hastie share their insights, experiences, and vision for the future in this accessible and light-hearted book."

Welcome to 2019!

PMI Adelaide will open its events calendar with the Annual General Meeting, followed by a great presentation by Jim McLean!

Trends in Project Management 2019
As organisations continue to tackle complex, resource intensive projects, the importance of adapting and improving project and program management remains critical. Jim will look at trends and changing practices in project and program management in Australia and globally to identify the key areas for ongoing effort over the coming year.

Presenter: Jim McLean

Jim McLean is a strong advocate for project management and a Fellow of the PMI Adelaide SA Chapter. Jim is responsible for the Transformation Program Management service line, at KPMG.

He has over 30 years’ program and project management experience, across almost every sector and industry, specializing in large scale systems integration programs that really change the way clients do business.

Jim has a keen interest in monitoring project management trends and has presented his observations a few times to Chapter events over the years.
Recent Australian survey findings produce some interesting results so Jim is keen to open up the discussion to include the findings of PMI’s Annual Global Survey (Pulse of the Profession) and what we should be doing to address any trending concerns.
