Digital Disruption: How are the experts facing it?

Digital disruption has been the star of many businesses, conferences and presentations lately. Every professional agrees that this topic cannot be disregarded. However, many people disagree on how this affects and will affect the way we work, communicate, share data and, of course, manage projects. This is why PMI Adelaide invited four experts from the field to share their views and experience in a dynamic panel discussion.

Panel:
Michael Macolino
Michael is a technology strategist, focusing on the development of strong business operations that become the foundation for sustainable and scalable companies. Michael spent 13 years building 5 businesses, before joining the BDO Tech Advisory team in 2018. Michael’s focus at BDO is using AgTech to transform the Agribusiness value chain, whilst also being an adviser to the AgTech startup eco-system.

Linda Zeelie
Linda is an experienced domestic and international executive in operations, project management and ICT. A specialist in integration, transition and transformation who has worked across a range of industries including Finance (banking and superannuation), Government, Defence, Energy and various other commercial organisations. Linda is a GAICD board director with 21 years board experience on industry boards, community/not-for-profit boards, technology start-ups and commercial boards.

Sam Harley
Sam is the Global Digital Operations Leader, Project Practice at Aurecon and is responsible for providing leadership to the firm’s digital strategies relating to process and technologies involving digital planning, setup and delivery to Aurecon projects. Having extensive experience in complex business environments, Sam has a strong operational and commercial focus in the implementation of management philosophies and initiatives and is passionate about improving process efficiencies through digital adoption.

Adam da Costa
Adam is currently Principal Consultant at Pernix Pty. Ltd. and is responsible for all phases of client engagement from scoping to delivery. He has significant experience in leading large-scale development and implementation projects in both agile and waterfall environments. Adam’s projects have spanned across business domains such as Social Service, Finance, Health, Compliance, Claims Management, Education, Sports, Manufacturing, Retail, and IoT, with experience in business systems analysis, application development, solutions architecture, and systems integration across multiple platforms.
