PMI Adelaide PM Week 2017 - Project Charter and Initiation – A DHS perspective

Kunwar Ranjan,
Director, Program Management Office & Operations / PM Practice, Adelaide Delivery Centre, CIO Group, Dept of Human Services (Federal).

This presentation will focus on providing an introduction to the Project Initiation and Charter lifecycle for programs and projects from a Federal Department of Human Services perspective. The challenges of costing and planning for program delivery will be presented to the audience along with insights into how this process is managed at a departmental and local level.

Kunwar Ranjan is a director with the Adelaide Delivery Centre (ADC) of the CIO Group, Australian Government Department of Human Services. His background is in the management of ICT Programs and Projects that support the delivery of services by DHS for client departments of the Australian Government. Ranjan has a background in Systems Engineering and Management and has over 13 years experience working in the public and private sectors.
In his current role, Ranjan leads ADC’s divisional PMO & operations capability while also helping to grow inhouse PM capabilities as the PM practice director.
